ISLAMABAD: The three-day warm-up match (non-first-class status) between visiting West Indies team and Pakistan Shaheens will start today (Friday) here at the Islamabad Club Ground.
All the fifteen team members from either side will be available to take the field, bowl, or bat. “Since it is entirely a warm-up match, having no first-class status, every player among the 15-member squad will be available for batting, bowling and fielding,” one of the officials said.
Following the warm-up match, West Indies team will head to Multan where the first Test of the two-match series will start at the Multan Stadium on January 17. Both the teams had their nets on Thursday.
Pakistan Shaheens squad: Imam-ul-Haq (captain), Ahmed Bashir, Ahmed Safi Abdullah, Ali Zaryab, Haseebullah, Hussain Talat, Kashif Ali, Mohammad Huraira, Mohammad Rameez Jnr, Mohammad Suleman, Musa Khan, Omair Bin Yousuf, Rohail Nazir, and Saad Khan.
West Indies squad: Kraigg Brathwaite (captain), Alick Athanaze, Keacy Carty, Joshua Da Silva, Justin Greaves, Kavem Hodge, Tevin Imlach, Amir Jangoo, Mikyle Louis, Gudakesh Motie, Anderson Phillip, Kemar Roach, Jayden Seales, Kevin Sinclair and Jomel Warrican.
