The Lahore Development Authority (LDA) teams on Friday sealed 87 illegal commercial buildings. Following the LDA Director General Tahir Farooq directives, the LDA teams under the supervision of Chief Town Planner Asad-uz-Zaman sealed more than 12 wedding halls and marquees in Gujjarpura for illegal commercial use and 25 properties in Gulberg, New Garden Town, Faisal Town, 42 in Sabzazar, and 20 in Shadman and Gujjarpura localities.
The properties included wedding halls, marquees, private schools, offices, restaurants, salons, stores, bakeries and others. Several notices were issued to the owners of the properties before the operation.
