LAHORE:The administration of the Pakistan Kidney and Liver Institute and Research Centre (PKLI) has terminated 11 employees after they were found guilty of financial corruption.
The action was taken against the employees involved in financial misconduct to uphold transparency and ethical standards. This step follows complaints from patients and their attendants against coordinators in various departments, accusing them of misusing their institutional authority for personal gain.
In response to these complaints, PKLI formed an inquiry committee to investigate the allegations. Based on the inquiry findings and substantial evidence, eleven employees were found guilty of financial corruption involving patients and their attendants. All such employees have been terminated.
Furthermore, in the case of seven employees, evidence from the institutional inquiry has been submitted to the Anti-Corruption Establishment Punjab for legal proceedings. PKLI reaffirms its commitment to maintaining the highest ethical standards and ensuring the trust of its patients and the public.
