Two killed in ‘encounter’

PESHAWAR: Two alleged criminals were killed in an alleged encounter in Bakhshi Pul locality on Charsadda Road, police officials said on Friday.
They said that the cops were on routine patrol in the limits of Khazana Police Station when they signaled two suspicious motorcyclists near Bakshi Pul. Officials said the criminals instead of stopping, opened fire on the police party. “An encounter took place between the cops and the suspects during which both the bikers were shot and injured who later succumbed to injuries,” said an official. The deceased were identified as Shakeel from Afghanistan and Nihar from Larama.Police officials claimed that the two deceased were wanted by police in many cases.
