Malir warehouse fire destroys goods worth millions
A fire broke out at a warehouse located near Moinabad, Lasi Para, Malir, engulfing the entire building and causing goods worth millions of rupees to be destroyed.
The fire erupted suddenly on the ground floor of the building, where plastic tanks were being manufactured and chemicals were stored, causing the flames to intensify.
Following the incident, fire brigade and Rescue 1122 teams reached the site and battled the blaze for hours before it could be brought under control. Foam was used to extinguish the flames.
Firefighters said that the presence of chemicals in the warehouse significantly escalated the intensity of the fire, prompting the need to deploy additional fire trucks.
Fortunately, the timely response prevented the fire from spreading to nearby areas, but the financial loss is substantial.
The cause of the fire is yet to be ascertained, as further investigation is under way.
