Indian govt denies permission to kabaddi team
ISLAMABAD: The Indian government has barred its national kabaddi team from crossing the border to play an exhibition match in Kartarpur Corridor on November 19.
Muhammad Sarwar Rana secretary Pakistan and world kabaddi told ‘The News’ that the Indian government against all expectations has denied permission to the national team mostly comprising Sikh players to compete in Pakistan.
“Despite the Indian team’s refusal to travel to Pakistan, we would arrange an exhibition match comprising international players. That team will be given the name of World Outfit. We will go ahead with our plan to organise the exhibition match at the Kartarpur Corridor,” he said.
The Indian cricket team for the Blind despite getting clearance from the Indian Sports and Youth Ministry is still waiting for final permission from the Interior and Foreign ministries to take up a Pakistan tour for the World Cup.
