Notices served on schools over violation of closure orders
LAHORE:District Education Authority (DEA) Lahore on Thursday took action against several educational institutions that violated the mandated closure due to smog.
The DEA Lahore issued show cause notices to these schools, requiring them to attend personal hearings to explain their non-compliance.Deputy District Education Officers (DEOs) and Assistant Education Officers (AEOs) have been visiting schools to ensure adherence to the government’s orders.
The institutions served notices were situated at Shahdara, Walton, EME, Manawan, Darughwala, Ferozepur Road, and Murghazar. These schools have been scheduled for further inspection on (Monday), November 11.
CEO DEA Lahore Education Nazir Hussain emphasised that the government orders would be enforced without exception. He warned that the next step would involve the cancellation of registrations for institutions that continue to violate the directives.
