IIU pro-chancellor calls on minister
Islamabad: International Islamic University Pro-Chancellor and Imam Muhammad Bin Saud University Riyadh Rector Professor Sulaiman Abdullah Aba Al-Khail met Minister of State for Federal Education and Professional Training Balighur Rehman and praised the government for putting the country on the track of socio-economic progress.
Professor Sulaiman is in the country to attend the IIU's 10th convocation.
He discussed issues of mutual interest, especially those about educational cooperation between the two countries, with the minister in the meeting. He said the IIU was producing moderate personalities and providing quality education in the light of Islamic teachings.
The minister said on the occasion that both countries had strong brotherly relations which were historical, while both nations always stood with each other in hard times.
"Pakistan is proud of its relations with Saudi Arabia and people of both countries have immense love for each other in their hearts," he said.
The minister appreciated the IIU saying that it is a symbol of Muslim unity. He added that the university has a unique recognition as it is disseminating Islam's message of peace which is being appreciated by Muslim as well as other nations.
