Eight illegal structures razed, 17 sealed
LAHORE:Continuing their actions against illegal constructions and commercial buildings, the LDA teams demolished eight constructions and sealed 17 commercial properties during a grand operation here on Tuesday.
The operation was supervised by Chief Town Planner-I Asad Zaman in Sabzazar, Multan Road, Allama Iqbal Town, Marghzar Colony and adjoining areas on the direction of LDA DG Tahir Farooq.
Giving details, Asad Zaman said the LDA teams demolished one illegal warehouse and sealed four warehouses, demolished a construction in Canal View Society, Sabzazar truck stand and a marriage hall in Sabzazar P Block, removed illegal hotel sheds and demolished a cylinder shop in Allama Iqbal Town Karim Block.
He added that a property was sealed for illegal addition/alteration in Nishtar Block, shutters were removed in Ravi Block, constructions were demolished in Marghzar Colony E Block and Link Road and sealed more than a dozen properties for illegal commercial use in Sabzazar.
CTP-I said several notices were issued to these properties prior to the operation and added that indiscriminate operations against illegal constructions, commercial buildings in the city will continue.
Meanwhile, LDA will organise the first public auction of this financial year on Sept 25, 2024 (today) at 10:00am at Convention Centre, Expo Centre, Johor Town. Commercial and residential plots and parking sites, hospital sites, petrol pump sites, marquee sites, sports sites and education sites located in various schemes will be auctioned.
