Newly-wed woman crushed to death
NOWSHERA: A woman was killed and her husband sustained injuries when a speeding
dumper truck hit their motorcycle near Khandar Stop on the Nowshera-Mardan Road on
Monday.
The couple was heading to their home in Mardan from the in-laws’ house in Akora Khattak when they met a tragic accident.Abdul Waheed, the father-in-law of Shah Faisal, told the police that his 28-year-old daughter, Aiman Shahzadi, wife of Shah Faisal, had come to his house in Akora Khattak as a guest with her husband on their motorcycle.
He said they were returning home and when reached Khandar Stop, a dumper truck bearing registration number Z-6446 Peshawar struck their bike from behind.The man said his daughter was crushed to death while his son-in-law Shah Faisal, sustained injuries.
The truck driver fled the scene.Nowshera Kalaan police have registered a case and started an investigation.The couple had been married just three weeks ago.
