Shoaib scoops men’s singles crown

ISLAMABAD: Muhammad Shoaib of PAF stopped Aqeel Khan in two sets 7-5, 6-3 (rtd) to win the men’s singles title in Khawar Hyat Khan Memorial National Ranking Tennis here at the PTF/SDA Complex courts Friday.
In the ladies’ singles final, Ushna Suhail secured victory against Amna Ali Qayum 6-1, 6-1 to become the champion. The closing ceremony was attended by Patron PTF Senator Salim Saifullah Khan as the chief guest. PTF President Aisamul Haq Qureshi served as the Guest of Honour.
Other notable attendees included Khawaja Suhail, SVP-PTF Col (r) Gul Rehman, Director PTF, Mansoor Ahmad Khan, Ex-DDG-PSB, and Azeem Shah, former DG CDA. The event was also attended by a large number of tennis enthusiasts, players, parents, and coaches.
