Three including two women die of severe hot weather, several others faint
SUKKUR: Two women were among three who died of heatwave here, while several others were admitted to the emergency ward of Chandka Medical College Hospital, Larkana. There was also report of the death of an old man near Moen Jo Daro, Larkana. Thirty-year-old Sumal, Lailam Qaisar (32) and an old man Mashooq Ali Qaisar, resident of village Fateh Muhammad Qaisar, near the world heritage site Moen Jo Daro, Tehsil Dokri, district Larkana, died of heat stroke inside their homes, while several others fell unconscious. Among them was a 60-year-old man, identified as Ali Gohar Qaisar. They were rushed to the emergency ward of Chandka Medical College Hospital, Larkana. According to the meteorology department, they recorded 48 Celsius there. This heatwave will continue till the next three to four days, Due to an increase in mercury level and unannounced loadshedding, several villagers fainted and fell prey to gastro, sources said.
