Two dacoits killed in police encounter
JARANWALA: Two dacoits were killed in an encounter at Chak Maal in the jurisdiction of Balochni police station on Thursday.
Qaisar Rafiq reported to the police that four dacoits snatched the motorcycle and Rs 5,000 from him and escaped towards Shahkot. Following the information, the police set up a picket in the area while a police party started chasing the dacoits. At the picket, the police signaled four dacoits on two motorcycles to stop, but they opened fire on them and escaped towards GT Road. At Chak Maal, the police encircled the dacoits. To it, the dacoits opened fire on them. The police also retaliated and informed the control room to send more police.
In the meantime, the Khurrianwala SHO and along with his team also reached the spot and took part in the encounter. As a result, two dacoits were injured while their two accomplices managed to escape.
