One dead, 15 hurt in tourist bus accident in Italy

ROME: One person died and 15 were wounded in a highway accident involving a tourist bus near the central Italian city of Arezzo on Sunday, firefighters said.
The bus carrying 25 tourists was headed north on the national A1 highway in the direction of Florence when the accident occurred, wrote the national fire service on X.
Firefighters were on site extracting the wounded from the bus, they said.
Photos on social media showed the bus, with a shattered windshield, smashed against the guard rail.
Corriere della Sera daily gave the tourists´ nationality as Chinese, saying they had been travelling from Rome to Florence when the accident occurred.
