NICAT to host Asia Pacific’s largest Meta Llama competition
KARACHI: National Incubation Center for Aerospace Technologies (NICAT), the Ministry of IT and Ignite - NTF are excited to present the largest Meta Llama Hackathon in the Asia-Pacific region.
This event aims to explore the transformative power of AI through Meta’s advanced Llama 2 and Llama 3 models. Harnessing AI for Economic and Social Impact Generative AI advancements, particularly Meta’s Llama 2 and Llama 3, have demonstrated immense potential for economic growth and social innovation, says a press release.
With over 180 million downloads, these models are revolutionizing industries worldwide. Proposal will submit before August 01, 2024, semi-finals on August 20, 2024, in Islamabad and finals on October 02, 2024, in Singapore, prize Money up to $100,000, with travel and accommodation covered by Meta.
Travel and Prizes: Hackathon winners will receive an all-expenses-paid trip to Singapore for the regional finals, sponsored by Meta. This includes travel and accommodation, offering winners a global platform to showcase their innovations, connect with international industry leaders, and gain valuable exposure.
Esteemed panel of judges include Muhammad Rashid Mukhtar (Industry-academia liaison and TEDx organizer), Dr. Muhammad Usman (expert in Generative AI and Large Language Models), Zeeshan Qedwaee (Business strategist with over 20 years in technology), Ammar Jaffri( Leader in Digital Pakistan and Cyber Secure Pakistan initiatives), Barira Hanif (Specialist in Sustainable Innovation and Business Strategy), Dr. Adnan-ul-Hasan( Researcher in deep learning and text recognition).
