TANK: Unidentified men kidnapped a team of five private detectives along with their sniffer dogs at Mulazai area in Tank district.
District Police Officer, Tank, Abdul Salam Khalid said that unidentified men kidnapped a team of five private detectives and shifted them to an undisclosed location. He said the kidnappers were demanding Rs100 million ransom for their release. The official said that a heavy contingent of the police had arrived at the place from where the five people were kidnapped.
The DPO said that since the cellular phone service was suspended on account of Muharram, the police did not have much information about the incident. He said that one Noor Ali from Mulazai area had hired the detectives to work out a theft incident. He said the kidnapped persons were identified as Shoaib, Rafiullah, Raees belonging to Karak and Aziz Bhatti and Majid Ali hailing from Okara district in Punjab.
