Training session held for hospitals’ social security officers
LAHORE:As per the directives of Commissioner Punjab Social Security Nadia Saqib, a one-day training session was organised in collaboration with the Punjab Procurement Regulatory Authority (PPRA) on Monday.
The session took place in the auditorium of Punjab Social Security Hospital on Multan Road, Lahore. Sixty-five social security officers from hospitals and offices across the province attended the session.
Director Admin Khawaja Waqar Ahmed and other officers also attended the session. PPRA officers led by MD PPRA Khawaja Waqar Ahmad imparted training to the participants. The participants were briefed on procurement cycles and received step-by-step hands-on training to familiarize themselves with the e-procurement system.
The training included procedures for using the e-procurement portal, with a focus on tenders, quotations, and uploading of Requests for Quotations (RFQs). The introduction of e-procurement aims to streamline procurement transactions and improve governance, management, transparency, and accountability within the department. This new system ensures secure government procurement transactions and enhances the overall efficiency of procurement processes.
