Swabi: The water level in Tarbela Dam increased and reached the highest level of 1,540 feet on Sunday.The authorities opened the spillways of the dam and released 60,000 cusecs of water daily to make more space for water entering the dam storage. Announcements were made through loudspeakers for the local people living on both sides of the lake to shift to safer places. Sirens were sounded before the spillways of the dam were opened.
