MANSEHRA: The parents in Darband and its suburbs on Tuesday demanded the government to implement the order as private schools were still functioning despite summer vacation’s notification.
Led by a local elder Javed Tanoli, a group of locals said though the Darband town falls in the summer zone, the schoolchildren were still going to private schools amid scorching heat.
“The locals have taken up this issue with the management of private schools pleading them to close their schools as students have been fainting in scorching heat but to no avail,” Tanoli said.
He said that public and private schools were closed down in the summer zone from June 1 and educational institutions in their town and the rest of the Darband Tehsil should follow suit.
“We will take up this issue with education departments’ high-ups if private school management doesn’t decide to close the institutions,” Tanoli said.
