Lawyers’ strikes disappointing masses: chief justice LHC
Bar and bench must provide justice to people as per law and Constitution

SARGODHA: Chief Justice Lahore High Court (LHC) Justice Manzoor Ahmad Malik Saturday said lawyers’ strikes were disappointing the masses and emphasised that both the bar and bench should ensure dispensation of speedy justice.
Addressing the representatives of Sargodha Division bar associations at the committee room here, he said strikes were no solution to problems, but it gives an impression of no-confidence in the judiciary and other government institutions.
He said it was the duty of lawyers to cooperate with the judiciary for providing justice and resolving the problems of the masses.
He said raising demands was the basic right of lawyers but they should keep in mind the basic obligation of providing instant justice to the masses.
Justice Ejazul Hassan, Justice Mansoor Ali Shah, Justice Masood Jahangir, District and Sessions Judge Sargodha Sardar Tahir Sabir, additional district and sessions judges and representatives of the four districts bar associations were also present.
Earlier, the district bar associations observed a complete strike for acceptance of their demand for setting up a high court bench in the division.
