Imran to fight his case in SC: Gohar
Talking to media outside Adiala jail in Rawalpindi after meeting with party founder, Gohar quoted Imran as saying, “I will fight my own case in the Supreme Court"
ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Barrister Gohar Ali Khan Wednesday announced that the founder chairman Imran Khan had decided to fight his own case in the Supreme Court.
Talking to the media outside the Adiala jail in Rawalpindi after meeting with the party founder, Gohar quoted Imran as saying, “I will fight my own case in the Supreme Court.”
Gohar said he also told Imran about the Dubai Leaks. “Imran said when he bought the apartment, he gave the entire money trail and now those whose names had appeared in the media, should also give their money trail.”
Gohar pointed out that it had been reported from the Supreme Court that the bench formed on the NAB ordinance may hear the case on May 30. “I demand that all arrangements should be made for Imran Khan on 30th, as he himself wants to appear in this case,” Gohar said, adding that there was a demand for live streaming.
About Tuesday’s assault on the PTI Information Secretary Raoof Hassan, Gohar insisted that there should be a transparent investigation into the attack.
He made it clear that if an attack on an innocent person happened again and the PTI leadership was targeted, then the party will protest peacefully across the country.
