Police vigilant to deal with criminals: IG
The Inspector General of Police (IGP) Islamabad Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi chaired a meeting on public safety at Safe City Islamabad, a public relations officer said.
He said that, the meeting was attended by DIG (Headquarters), AIG (Operations), SSP (Operations), SSP (Law and Order), SSP (Traffic), and senior police officers. The meeting assessed the security situation and public safety in Islamabad. Officers briefed IGP Islamabad on the security measures taken in the context of public safety.
The IGP said that, no illegal activities will be ignored, and Islamabad Police are vigilant at all times to deal with any such activities. He further said that, all possible measures will be taken to ensure the protection of citizens' lives and property and to maintain public order.
