PSCA holds seminar on ‘Women Safety App’
LAHORE: Punjab Safe Cities Authority (PSCA) continued its series of awareness about Pakistan's first Virtual Women Police Station by organising a seminar at universities regarding "Women Safety App" and "Crime Stopper Services” here on Tuesday.
Facilities provided at Virtual Women Police Station were briefed and the procedure to report crimes on the "Crime Stopper" number was explained during the seminar. It was mentioned in the seminar that Punjab Police is utilizing Artificial Intelligence to curb crimes and new features for women were introduced in the Women Safety App. Women have been encouraged to install Women Safety App for timely assistance and information. The students were told that for reporting city crimes confidentially, call Crime Stoppers at 033-SAFECITY, which is 03372332489. Visual or video evidence along with confidential information can also be provided on the Safe City website http://www.psca.gop.pk. The identity of those contacting "Safe City Crime Stopper Service" is never revealed.
