NFCC final round from today
LAHORE: The final round of the National Football Challenge Cup will kick off at the Jinnah Stadium Islamabad on Wednesday (today). The initial round of the event was conducted almost a year ago. As many as 16 outfits are set to showcase their skills in the event which have been divided into four groups.
The Group A features PACA, Army, NIMSO and HEC, Group B contains KRL, Navy, SA Farms and Masha United, Group C has Otto Crains, Wapda, WSTC and Police while PAF, Asia Ghee Mills, SA Gardens and Railways are in Group D.
The group stage matches will take place from May 1 to 6 with each team playing the others in the group once. The top two teams from each group will advance to the quarter-finals scheduled for May 7 and 8 followed by the semi-finals on May 10. The final will be held on May 12. Wednesday’s fixtures: NIMSO v HEC, PACA v Army, SA Farms v Masha United, KRL v Navy.
