Prodigal Rain justifies expectations, Redrock stages upset at LRC
LAHORE: In an eventful day at the Lahore Race Club, Prodigal Rain justified the expectations by securing victory in the Native Tune Cup, while Redrock caused the biggest upset of the day by triumphing in the Labour Day Cup race.
The day featured two significant cup races, with seven and nine contenders, respectively, covering distances of 1100 and 1000 metres. In the first race, Lalay Di Jan pulled off a surprising victory. Galileo Lady claimed the second position, while the favourite, Shah Prince, settled for third place.
Luckvir, the favourite, lived up to expectations by clinching victory in the second race. However, there were surprises as Fame Again, expected to secure a place, slipped to third position, with an unexpected runner-up, Absolutely Not. In a dramatic turn of events, Redrock stunned the opposition to claim victory in the Labour Day Cup, causing a major upset.
