RAWALPINDI: Mohammad Amir hoped that his return would benefit Pakistan as it did in the 2009 (T20 World Cup win) and again in 2017 (Champions Trophy victory).
In a media talk, he claimed that he was looking at winning the third title as a member of the Pakistan team. “I won both events as a member of the team previously and am anxious to see the team winning a third title. Pakistan reached the final of the last T20 World Cup and semis of the previous one. We are making all efforts to win the World Cup T20 this time.
My inclusion in the team is more due to World Cup. I hope that I would be in a position to keep a balance in the bowling department which is very important.” Amir said.
