Importance of Engineering Capstone Expo-2024 underlined

PESHAWAR: Speakers at a function here on Wednesday said that Engineering Capstone Expo-2024 was honing practical skills, fostering creativity and preparing students for the dynamic challenges of the engineering profession.

They said this while addressing an event hosted by the Pakistan Engineering Council (PEC) and titled 1st Engineering Capstone Expo-2024 (KP), said a communique, adding the expo had been arranged successfully in Punjab and Balochistan.

Engr Ejaz Hussain Ansari, the council vice-chairman for the KP convened the meeting at the PEC Regional Office, Peshawar. Engr Mir Masood Rashid briefed the members about the 10 initiatives of the PEC-Pakistan Development Committee. These included STEM Education, Day Trip Learning, Annual Financing Scheme of Final Year Design Projects, Engineering Capstone Expo, PEC E-Library, Helping Industries by providing Internee Engineers, Graduate Internship Training, PEC E-Gateway, UN Sustainable Development Goals Adoption and Engineer Parliamentarians Caucus.

He highlighted the importance of the engineering capstone experience in bridging the gap between academic learning and real-world applications, preparing students for the challenges and opportunities they will encounter in their future careers.

Engr Mir Masood Rashid requested all stakeholders to put in joint efforts to make the event a success in the province.Engr. Ejaz Hussain Ansari said the Engineering Capstone Expo stood as a testament to the dedication and innovation of engineering students, showcasing their transformative projects and fostering connections with industry leaders and peers.

He said the event was dedicated to promoting engineering education in the country by showcasing potential areas of research and development. Engr. Ejaz Hussain Ansari commended the students for their achievements and commitments to excellence throughout their academic journey.
