Governor visits SOS Village, distributes gifts among children
LAHORE: Punjab Governor Muhammad Balighur Rehman offered Eid prayer at Badshahi Masjid here with thousands of people. Prayers were offered for the country's progress, prosperity, stability, peace and especially for the martyrs of Pakistan army and other security forces.
On this occasion, a special prayer was offered for the freedom of the Palestinian and Kashmiri Muslims and the end of the ongoing persecution of them. Governor interacted with the general public at Badshahi Masjid. He also met with the government employees on duty at Governor’s House and wished them Eid greetings. On this occasion, the Governor's House was opened to the general public. People visited the Governor’s House in a large number and met with governor. People thanked him for opening the doors of the Governor's House to them on Eid.
Later, governor along with his family visited SOS Village. Governor and his wife met with the children and distributed cakes and gifts among them. Speaking on this occasion, Balighur Rehman said that it was the government’s national duty to serve the destitute children. He said that Islam also teaches us to treat helpless children with compassion and love. It is very important to share the joy of Eid with all the people, he concluded.
