Man, daughter injured in house fire

A man and his daughter sustained burns when a fire broke out in their house near McLeod Road, Tuesday.The fire broke out on the upper floor of the house located on McLeod Road which engulfed the entire floor, resulting in injuries to two people. Rescue teams doused the fire.The injured, identified as Akbar Hussain and his 13-year-old daughter Malaika were shifted to hospital.

Youth hit to death

A 22-year-old youth was killed after being hit by a train near Walton railway station on Tuesday. The youth, yet to be identified, was crossing rail tracks when he came under the wheels of a moving train and died on the spot. The body was removed to the morgue.

Man hit to death

A 26-year-old man was hit to death by a speeding truck in the Shahdara Town area. The truck driver sped away from the spot. Police shifted the body to the morgue.
