ISLAMABAD: Three members of a family were Monday shifted to the Pakistan Institute of Medical Sciences (Pims) with sliced throats.

The incident took place in a Ghori Town Phase-4 house, falling in the jurisdiction of Khanna police station, police sources said.

The injured family members include the family head Sheroon, 55; Ada, 10; and Arian, 7. Doctors are striving to save their lives.

The police said upon receiving vague information, a team reached the scene and found three members of the family lying in a pool of blood with their throats sliced. They were immediately shifted to the Pims.

The police couldn’t get any information about the incident, as the victims could not respond to any query.

The police told this correspondent that Sheroon’s wife, who is a nurse at Polyclinic, was not at home. According to investigators, circumstantial evidences indicated Sheroon’s involvement in the incident.

Meanwhile, Golra police have registered an ambiguous FIR against the kidnapping and mugging of two foreigner women and five locals during hiking in the Margalla Hills near Shah Allah Ditta top.

They were visiting an archeological site but were encountered by a gang of dacoits in the jurisdiction of Golra police station. The dacoits made them hostage and received a heavy ransom against their release.
