Khalid Maqbool urges youth to work for Pakistan’s development
On the occasion of Pakistan Day on Saturday, Muttahida Qaumi Movement-Pakistan (MQM-P) Convener Dr Khalid Maqbool Siddiqui, who is also serving as the federal minister for education and science, called for making the country a truly prosperous and democratic state, where everyone enjoyed equal rights regardless of caste, creed or religion.
“Eighty-three years ago, on this very day, the founder of Pakistan Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah envisioned a separate homeland, which was realised with great pride on August 14, 1947. Today, it is our resolve to build Pakistan according to the dreams of its founder,” he said.
Dr Siddiqui stressed the need for collective efforts to overcome the challenges and to place Pakistan on the path to progress. He emphasised the necessity for the public to strive together for a system that aligned with the ideals of Jinnah. He added that the youth must play their role in the progress and development of Pakistan so that everyone in the country could live with economic, political and religious freedom.
