LDA accelerates speed of work on uplift projects

LAHORE: Engineering wing of the Lahore Development Authority (LDA) has accelerated its speed of work on the ongoing development projects.

This was revealed in a meeting held under the chairmanship of LDA Director General Tahir Farooq about ongoing development projects in the city. Chief Engineer LDA Asrar Saeed gave the briefing about the ongoing and proposed projects as well as about the construction of LDA sports complexes.

Asrar Saeed told the meeting about the progress of the Controlled Access Corridor and Ravi Bridge expansion project. He told that the work on the Ravi Bridge expansion project was going on rapidly day and night.

LDA’s CE further told that the launching of girders on three sections of Ravi Bridge will be started next week. In total, 63% of the Ravi Bridge project has been completed, he added.

Asrar also briefed the meeting about the ongoing patchwork and repair works of various small and big roads in the city. He further informed the meeting about the ongoing development works in LDA Avenue One and Jubilee Town.

Chief Engineer further briefed the LDA DG about the proposed plans to improve traffic flow at these busiest points.

Chief Engineer LDA Asrar Saeed, Project Directors, Director Building and related officers participated in the meeting. Later, LDA DG visited various busiest points in the city.

LDA DG visited Qizilbash Chowk, Pine Avenue, Thokar Niaz Beg and Kareem Market. He also visited the proposed project site from Kareem Market to Kharak Nullah.
