Ailing man commits suicide by jumping off Native Jetty Bridge

A distressed young man, who had been undergoing treatment for an illness for some time, committed suicide on Sunday by jumping off the Native Jetty Bridge into the sea.
Lifeguards initiated a search for the body upon receiving the information. The youth was identified as Shahzaib, son of Ilyas. He was 27 years old and lived in Nazimabad No 3. His brother said Shahzaib had been under treatment at the Jinnah hospital for the past 10 days. On Sunday morning at 11am, he arrived at the Native Jetty Bridge in an ambulance and jumped into the sea. The deceased had been unemployed for two years and used to accompany his father in his shop. The search is under way for his body.
