WANA: The Wana Welfare Association (Wawa) carried out an education awareness campaign in Lower South Waziristan district on Monday.

Wawa organised the “Mass Enrollment Campaign March,” culminating in a rally. The participation included Deputy Commissioner Nasir Khan, district administration officials, students, tribal elders, political parties activists, local government representatives, and individuals from diverse backgrounds.

The slogan of the participants echoed a powerful sentiment: “Every boy and every girl belongs in school.”Addressing the gathering, the DC emphasized the primary objective of the awareness walk-to enroll children who have been deprived of education in schools.

The official stressed that education stands as the singular solution to a myriad of challenges. He pledged the district administration’s commitment to revitalizing non-functional government educational institutions, ensuring that teachers fulfill their duties.

He urged parents to prioritize enrolling children in educational institutions for the prosperity of Waziristan.Wawa President Rehmat Ullah underscored the importance of government intervention in reactivating public educational institutions.

He urged parents to ensure their children’s attendance at school, adding that it effort would not only alter the area’s trajectory but also spur development and prosperity.Rehmat expressed Wawa’s commitment to ensuring that no child in Lower South Waziristan remained deprived of education in the coming five years. He emphasized that with government support, every child, regardless of gender, would have access to education in Lower Waziristan.
