MANSEHRA: Tehsil Municipal Administration on Thursday launched an anti-encroachment drive in the city and its suburbs to ensure the smooth flow of traffic during the Ramazan.
“We have launched an encroachment drive and cleared the right-of-way in the city and Lari adda areas,” Tehsil Municipal Officer Mazhar Muzafar Awan told reporters here.
The TMA anti-encroachment teams led by Awan removed concrete and temporary encroachments at Abbottabad Road, Kashmir Road, Shinkiari Road and Lari Adda area. They shifted them to their godowns at Kashmir Road.
They also removed handcarts in the city and its suburbs and shifted them to TMA’s godowns.Meanwhile, the traders have demanded the Peshawar Electric Supply Company to end the prolonged and unscheduled loadshedding in Shinkiari and its suburbs.
A group of the business community led by the president of the traders’ body in Shinkiari Mazhar Bashir told reporters that the city and its suburban parts have been experiencing eight to ten hours of long loadshedding affecting business and routine life adversely.
