TV actor blames Kamal for misleading people
LAHORE: Renowned TV actor Majid Jehangir has slammed former Karachi District Nazim and Pak Sarzameen Party Chairman Mustafa Kamal for misleading the nation.
Addressing a press conference at the Lahore Press Club, Majid Jehangir, an actor who rose to fame through ‘fifty-fifty’ a comedy show aired on TV in early 80s, stated that during his tenure of District Nazim Karachi, Mustafa Kamal humiliated the showbiz figures. He said under him, the lands of studios were occupied unlawfully and plazas were made on them.
He said that the figures like Anis Qaimkhani, Raza Haroon and others who were siding with Mustafa Kamal now had set up properties of billions of rupees in Karachi while he was serving as the District Nazim.
Demanding action against Mustafa Kamal and his companions over their corruption in the era of Pervez Musharraf, the showbiz figure said they could no more fool the nation and had to answer for their misdeeds.
