LAHORE:Dr Amjad Abbas Khan Magsi has been elected as the President of Punjab University's Academic Staff Association (PU-ASA).
Punjab University ASA elections were held at PU News Campus on Thursday in which as many as 828 faculty members had exercised their right to vote. Dr Magsi bagged 448 votes against his opponent Engr Prof Dr M Azhar Naeed who bagged 367. Dr Magsi had earlier also served as Secretary PU-ASA. Prof Dr Farah Rauf Shakoori has been elected as Vice President Science, Dr Ghalib Ata VP Arts, Dr Muhammad Islam as Secretary, Prof Dr Ahmed Bilal as Joint Secretary while Dr Amer Masood Chishti has been elected as the Treasurer.
