Police verification certificates a must for job in police: IG
LAHORE : All candidates, who are applying for police recruitment, must get their police verification certificates, which can easily be obtained from any Police Service Centre.
Bright and young people who have the passion to serve the country will be a good addition to the Punjab Police.
IG Punjab Dr Usman Anwar said this on Wednesday in his message to the candidates who want to join the Punjab Police.
IG Punjab said that government has given the permission for new recruitment of 11,000 constables in Punjab Police and all the recruitments will be made purely on merit.
“The brave and dutiful youths are becoming part of the recruitment process as per rules and regulations”.
IG Punjab said that while obtaining the police verification certificate, the candidate must get to know about the clarity of his police record.
“Sometimes at the last stage, the criminal record of the candidate is revealed through Polcom, thus the candidate has to face difficulties in clearing it at the last moment, so candidates are requested to obtain the clearance certificate from the police Khidmat Marakaz and submit it along with their documents”.
IG Punjab said that if any candidate is facing difficulty in the clearance report, he can get it cleared on time through the court.
Orders recruiting children of martyred cops Punjab IG has issued orders to recruit children of 23 police martyrs as junior clerks in all the districts of the province, including Lahore this week.
IG Dr Usman Anwar said no recruitment case with regard to Shaheed claim has been pending in Punjab Police at the moment.
He said that in the last one year, a total of 134 children of Police martyrs were employed on family claims in police department, in which 104 children were recruited as junior clerks, 21 as Naib Qasid and 09 in class IV.
He said that the children of martyrs who were employed on shaheed family claim basis included 08 of Lahore Police, 04 of Faisalabad Police, one each from DG Khan, Bahawalpur, Narowal, Gujranwala, Sargodha, Sheikhupura, Multan, Jhang, Hafizabad, Rajanpur and Nankana.
These children have been recruited by the department on family claim.
Dr Usman Anwar said that the debt of those who sacrificed their
lives for the nation cannot be paid off and the measures for the welfare of their families will remain continue.
