City receives drizzle; scattered rain forecast

LAHORE : Light rain was witnessed in the City on Sunday while Met office predicted partly cloudy weather with chances of scattered rain for the next 24 hours.
The rain was recorded in various localities, including Airport, Walled City, Johar Town, Lakshmi Chowk, Chowk Nakhuda, Qurtaba Chowk, Gulberg, Upper Mall, Mughalpura, Tajpura, Nister Town, Pani Wala Talab, Farrukhabad, Gulshan-e-Ravi, Iqbal Town and Samanabad.
Met officials said a westerly wave was affecting most parts of the country and likely to persist for next 24 hours.
Sunday’s minimum temperature was recorded at Kalam and Leh where mercury dropped to -09°C while in Lahore it was 8.2°C and maximum was 17.5°C.
