Minister for holding May 9 perpetrators accountable
He expressed these views during a press conference held at Itlaa cell Civil Secretariat Peshawar
PESHAWAR Caretaker Minister for Information and Public Relations Feroze Jamal Kakakhel on Friday said that those involved in May 9 incidents should be held accountable for their actions.
He expressed these views during a press conference held at Itlaa cell Civil Secretariat Peshawar. The press conference was also attended by brother of Captain Kernal Sher Khan. The caretaker minister passionately recounted the sacrifices made by martyrs like Captain Kernal Sher Khan and Captain Amar, expressing the nation’s collective desire to see the wrongdoers brought to justice. Minister Kakakhel, acknowledging the sacrifices made by these heroes, called for severe punishment for the perpetrators of the May 9 events.
He said that he was overwhelmed by the gravity of these unresolved issues such as the delayed justice and the desecration of martyr’s sanctity and found himself unable to adequately respond to the questions asked by the brother of the martyred army officer. “Tears welled up in my eyes, and in solidarity with the martyr’s family, I presented them my resignation from the ministry,” he said.
Anwar Sher Khan, during the press conference, lamented the disregard for the sanctity of the martyrs and the national flag during the May 9 events. He reminded the nation of the sacrifices made by Captain Kernal Sher Khan, who carried the national flag to great heights and sacrificed his life to defend the country. Anwar Sher Khan also met with caretaker Chief Minister Justice (R) Syed Arshad Hussain Shah.
