Man shot dead by brother-in-law
A case has been registered against Imran on the complaint of Ali Shan, the brother of the deceased
LAHORE: A 27-year-old man was shot dead by his brother-in-law in the limits of Manawan police on Sunday.
The victim was identified as Ali Raza. The victim’s sister was living in the house of her brother Ali after a domestic issue with her husband Imran. On the day of the incident, the accused came to the house of the victim Ali for reconciliation and shot him to death after having an exchange of harsh words with him. The accused escaped from the scene. The body was shifted to the morgue. A case has been registered against Imran on the complaint of Ali Shan, the brother of the deceased.
Seven die in road accidents in 24 hours
The Emergency Services Department (ESD) responded to 890 road traffic accidents in all districts of Punjab during the last 24 hours.
In these accidents, seven people died, whereas 918 were injured. Out of these, 401 people with serious injuries were shifted to different hospitals, while 517 victims with minor injuries were treated on the spot by Rescue medical teams.
Three die in different parts
Three people died in different parts of the city on Sunday. A 30-year-old Kaniz Bibi, who was burnt in Sabzazar area, died at Mayo Hospital. The victim was badly burnt in a house fire seven days ago. A 35-year-old man, who was found unconscious in the Shadman area, died at Services Hospital. The victim was identified as Asif, a resident of Tibbi City. A 45-year-old man was found dead in the limits of Factory Area. Police claimed that the man, yet to beidentified, was a drug addict and died of excessive use of drugs. The bodies were shifted to the mortuary by Edhi Ambulance.
Man stabbed to death
A 46-year-old man was stabbed to death Jamal Chowk Township on Sunday. The victims was identified as Imran Saleem. The victim was suspected to be killed over an old enmity. The forensic team collected evidence from the spot. The body was shifted to the morgue.
