Ahmed Shah urges youth to brighten country’s image globally

The Arts Council of Pakistan (ACP), Karachi, on Sunday organised the SANA Sindh Conference 2024, in which the ACP president and Sindh caretaker minister for information, minority affairs, social security, Muhammad Ahmad Shah, participated as the chief guest.

He emphasised the pivotal role of today's youth as the role models of Pakistan and underscored their potential to contribute to the nation's progress. Addressing the gathering, Shah highlighted the importance of self-reliance for youth in securing employment opportunities in the government sector, emphasising that dependence on the private sector was not sustainable.

The event was also attended by Acting United States Consul General Jimmy Mauldin. It aimed to foster discussions on human rights and collaboration among diverse communities.

Shah encouraged the youth to excel in education, asserting that it was the key to not only brightening the province but also the entire country's image globally. He acknowledged the significant contributions of Sindhi writers and anticipated that the Sana Sindh Conference would play a vital role in Sindh's development.

Highlighting the potential of Sindhi youth, the information minister expressed that their involvement in the IT sector could propel the nation forward. He encouraged them to leverage their skills to connect with people both within Pakistan and globally.

The ACP president also praised the Sindhi community's efforts in promoting Sindhi literature in various parts of the United States, including Houston and Los Angeles. The acting US consul general commended the conference saying that it inspired progress and forward-thinking.
