NOWSHERA: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf-Parliamentarians (PTIP) chairman and former defence minister Pervez Khattak said on Sunday that the “corrupt’ rulers had plundered the country’s wealth and were responsible for ballooning the inflation.

Addressing the workers’ conventions at various places in Nowshera, he said that Pakistan People’s Party had looted the country in the name of roti, kapra aur makan, Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz on Quaid-e-Azam’s name and Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam-Fazl amassed wealth in the name of Islam while Imran Khan committed plunder with new slogans of so-called ‘change’ and ‘Naya Pakistan.’

He said that ex-PM Imran Khan also used his spouse and her friend Farah Gogi to collect wealth through malpractices and kickbacks in mega projects. Pervez Khattak also lashed out at the Pakistan Democratic Movement leaders, saying the PDM had harmed the country during its short period of ruling.

“The PDM had nothing to do with the problems confronted by the people, as its rulers were busy getting rid their leaders of cases,” he said, adding the country was now bearing the brunt of inflation. He said that none of the rulers had ever delivered but they only amassed wealth for their own families. “The PTI chairman Imran Khan was sick of his so-called ego and he used to treat the elected representatives like a dictator. Pervez Khattak alleged that former PM Imran Khan was a ‘fraudster’ and a vocal ‘liar’ in Pakistan’s history, who skillfully deceived the nation, particularly youths with catchy slogans.
