Man held for sale of fake dollars
In a significant operation conducted by the Federal Investigation Agency’s (FIA) Commercial Banking Circle Karachi, a suspect engaged in the sale of counterfeit dollars was apprehended on Thursday.
The directive for the arrest was issued under the supervision of Director FIA Karachi Zone Zaheem Iqbal Sheikh with Deputy Director Commercial Banking Circle Karachi Ali Murad leading the raid. The arrested suspect, Abdullah, was taken into custody in Karachi, according to the FIA spokesperson.
The suspect is alleged to had been involved in selling counterfeit dollars at a lower price to unsuspecting citizens. Abdullah organised meetings with the public at various locations to carry out these fraudulent transactions. Upon the suspect's arrest, counterfeit 1,600 American dollars were recovered.
The operation was initiated based on a complaint filed by an affected citizen. The FIA team employed technical support in the apprehension of the suspect.
