Worker dies after his jugular vein slit by thread
LAHORE:A 17-year-old worker has died after his jugular vein was slit by thread during work at a machine in Manga Mandi. The victim identified as Muhammad Waqas worked in a cotton factory. During the job, a thread ran over his neck and slit his jugular vein. His body was moved to morgue.
Cashier held for committing fraud
Gawalmandi Police arrested a suspected cashier of a leather company involved in fraud and theft. The suspect identified as Sajid Javed had committed fraud and stolen valuables, cash from the company. He had been associated with the organisation for a considerable amount of time. A complaint was lodged against him of stealing through fraud. During investigations, he confessed to his offence. Police recovered Rs500,000 and precious valuables from his custody.
Woman hit to death
A 48-year-old woman died and a youth was injured by a speeding trailer near Bhobatian Chowk, Raiwind Road. The victim was identified as Razia, wife of Salahuddin.
The injured identified as Amir, 25, son of Shahzad, was admitted to hospital. The victims were on their way on a bike when a speeding trailer hit them, as a result, Razia died on the spot and Amir was injured.
