Nayyer Bokhari appointed PPPP secretary general
ISLAMABAD: Pakistan People’s Party Parliamentarians (PPPP) President Asif Ali Zardari has appointed Syed Nayyer Hussain Bokhari as party’s secretary general.
According to sources, Syed Nayyer Hussain Bokhari has resigned from the office of secretary general PPP headed by Bilawal Bhutto Zardari after the development.
Bokhari cannot hold the same position in both of the parties as Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) and Pakistan People’s Party Parliamentarians (PPPP) are registered as two different parties at the Election Commission of Pakistan.
PPP is headed by Bilawal Bhutto Zardari with the election symbol of “Sword’ while the PPP Parliamentarians is headed by Asif Ali Zardari with the symbol of “Arrow”. Besides, holding the office of secretary general PPPP, Bokhari is also the president of People’s Lawyer Forum.
Earlier, Farhatullah Babar had resigned from the office of secretary general PPPP few days back.
The news of Babar’s resignation was revealed by the party president Asif Ali Zardari during the interview with Hamid Mir.
