ISLAMABAD: The National Accountability Bureau (NAB) Rawalpindi has summoned former federal minister Fawad Chaudhry on November 13 to appear before the Combined Investigation Team (CIT) of the NAB Rawalpindi in an inquiry into Jehlum-Pind Daddan Khan Dual Carriageway project.
According to NAB’s call-up notice sent to him at his Jehlum residence stated that an inquiry proceedings have revealed that he being a federal minister not only extended unlawful political influence and undue pressure in preparation of Jehlum-Pind Daddan Khan Dual Carriageway project but also achieved illegal gratification from the contractor and his associates.
The NAB Rawalpindi call-up notice to Fawad Chaudhry further stated that moreover, he along with his other family members also purchased land on dual carriage way which caused loss to national exchequer during the acquisition of land for the said project. The NAB Rawalpindi directed him to appear before the CIT of NAB Rawalpindi in Islamabad at 10.00 am on November 13.
