TIMERGARA: A man and his four-year-old daughter drowned in Panjkora River here on Tuesday, rescue officials said.
The victims, identified as 37-year-old Saleem, son of Mustaqim, and his four-year- old daughter, Hoorain, residents of Danwa village, had gone to the river to beat the heat.
However, the girl fell into the river and the gushing water swept her away. Saleem jumped into the river to save the life of his little daughter but he also drowned.
The Rescue 1122 and local divers fished out the two and shifted them to the hospital where doctors pronounced both of them as dead.Touching scenes were witnessed when the bodies of father and his little daughter were handed over to the family.
