SUKKUR: The Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman, Imran Khan, on Thursday said that no power could stop the PTI from holding rallies in any city.
Talking to reporters after condoling with the families of victims of the Shikarpur blast, he urged the people to besiege those selling their conscience in the upcoming Senate elections.Imran criticised the ruling PML-N, the MQM and the Pakistan People’s Party-led Sindh government which, according to him, had failed to bring peace even in their strongholds.
He urged the Sindh government to ensure the arrest of the culprits involved in the Shikarpur blast. “I appeal to the government to stop just handing out money when terror attacks happen; families want justice.
“Where is your leadership Nawaz Sharif? The whole nation is looking at you right now. What have you done for Baldia Town? Nawaz Sharif I ask you what you have done so far?” he said.Flaying the PPP leadership, Imran said: “How much time does Asif Zardari spend in Pakistan? You all know the minute his government is eliminated from Sindh, he will leave the country.”
“No money is spent on the people. The local bodies elections are yet to be held here. For how long will they make money in the name of Bhuttos?” he questioned. The PTI chief called for reforms in police for the elimination of militancy and terrorism. He denounced politicisation of police in Sindh and Punjab, describing it as a reason for the poor law and order situation in Sindh and Punjab.
Imran applauded the KP Police, claiming that not even a single official had been recruited in the law-enforcing department on political grounds. The PTI chief said that he had never attended any meeting of terrorists at any place in his province or other place. “Terrorism is a dangerous disease which can be cured while adopting solid policies.”
Terrorism cannot be brought to end by the army action until the people of tribal areas are prepared to extend cooperation to the government, he said.Replying to a question, Imran said that the MQM and PPP were trying to remain in power while misguiding and creating hatred between their party workers as well as misleading the people belonging to Sindhi, Pakhtoon, Urdu and other languages sections to fulfil their political and individual interests.
Many selfish and terrorist minded people are seemed busy in their anti-human activities, he added.Earlier, PTI Chairman Imran Khan accompanied by Makhdoom Shah Mehmood Qureshi, Naz Baloch, Khalid Jakhrani and other PTI leaders visited the central Imambargah where he offered Fateha and condoled with the families of the victims of Shikarpur blast.
The PTI chairman, while expressing solidarity with the victims’ families, offered to extend his full support for the acceptance of their demands presented before the government of Sindh. He expressed anger over the Sindh government’s failure to detect the perpetrators of the Shikarpur blast.Imran also offered his party’s support on long march to be launched for the acceptance of the demands made by the Shuhada committee.
