295kg dead animals’ meat seized

OKARA: Veterinary Dr Saqib and his staff on Sunday seized 295kg dead animals’ meat here.

Veterinary Dr Saqib and his staff checked a motorcycle rickshaw near 47/GD village and found dead animals’ meat. However, accused Ghulam Rasool and Sajid who were allegedly carrying meat fled. The police have registered a case.

7 BUFFALOES DIE AFTER RECEIVING ELECTRIC SHOCKS: As many as seven buffaloes died after receiving electric shocks at Shahzad Colony, Depalpur.

Rashid Ahmad had kept his buffaloes in an enclosure whose boundary wall was adjacent to an 11KV electric pole. On Saturday night, the electric pole short circuited and current passed through all enclosure where all seven buffaloes were present. As a result, all buffaloes died. Later, Rashid got a case registered under Section 427 against the Depalpur XEN, Mazharabad sub-division SDO, the area line superintendent and other staff.
